President Donald Trump takes the stage at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Center on the Ohio University campus in Chillicothe. The stop marks his third campaign appearance in the state ahead of Tuesday's midterm elections. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., and the formal program begins at the same time.

The visit serves as a final push for Ohio's Republican gubernatorial and Senate candidates. Trump previously endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy for governor and John Husted for Senate at the Oct. 3 rally in Vandalia. He told supporters there to vote as if they were voting for him. The event also covered key issues for the party, including immigration, gas prices, and the cost of data center electricity.

During that first stop, Trump stated that Husted would automatically pass the Rate Payer Protection Act if elected. The law targets electricity costs for data centers. Trump also granted WCPO's Tanya O'Rourke a one-on-one interview before taking the stage in Vandalia.

The president's second Ohio appearance occurred on Oct. 12 in Youngstown. He focused on the economy, arguing that the country is entering a new period of prosperity. He cited economic development projects and manufacturing growth as evidence of his policy results.

"After years of steel mills and factories closing across Ohio, our steel industry is roaring back to life, manufacturing is booming and American exports have soared to the highest level," Trump told the Youngstown crowd.

Ohio remains a central battleground for both parties this cycle. Control of the governor's office and the state Senate seat hangs in the balance, with national implications for Congress. The Chillicothe event is the latest in a series of stops designed to mobilize the base in the final weeks before Election Day.

WCPO will provide live coverage of the event. Updates will be posted as the program progresses.
