Polling stations in Florida will open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, for the general election. The polls will remain open until 7 p.m. local time. Any voter standing in line when the clock hits 7 p.m. will be permitted to cast a ballot. This is the final day for residents who have not already voted during the early voting period.
Voters in the Bay Area must go to the specific polling place assigned to their precinct. This requirement differs from early voting, where residents could choose any designated site within their county. Officials warn that a voter's assigned Election Day location may differ from the early voting site they used previously.
To vote in person, Florida residents must present a valid photo identification card that includes a signature. If the primary ID lacks a signature, voters must provide a secondary form of identification that does contain one. Acceptable documents include a Florida driver's license, a Florida identification card, a U.S. passport, and a military ID.
Other approved forms of ID include a debit or credit card, a student ID, and a retirement center ID. Voters may also use a neighborhood association ID, public assistance ID, or a veteran health identification card from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. A license to carry a concealed weapon, a government employee ID, and other listed documents also qualify.
Voters who arrive without acceptable identification can cast a provisional ballot. Election officials will then determine if the ballot meets the requirements to be counted. Residents across Citrus, DeSoto, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, and Sumter counties can find their assigned locations through local Supervisor of Elections websites or the Florida Division of Elections' precinct lookup tool.
Pasco County voters have an additional option for transportation. The GoPasco bus system will offer free rides to polling places on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. This service is a partnership between GoPasco and Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley. Riders must show a valid Voter Information Card to board the bus.
Residents are advised to confirm their specific polling location before leaving their homes. The county Supervisor of Elections websites provide up-to-date lists of precinct locations. Voters can check routes and schedules for the free Pasco bus service on the official transit website.
