Kentucky State Police issued an IAN Alert on Monday, November 2, for a missing six-year-old boy. Roman Heilman disappeared Sunday afternoon in the town of Louisa within Lawrence County. The alert classifies him as endangered due to his age and specific conditions.

Lawrence County Emergency Management states Heilman was last seen between 3:45 and 4:00 p.m. on Tadpole Road. He has blonde hair, blue eyes, and weighs approximately 60 pounds. Witnesses described his clothing as a green fur jacket, red and white monster pants, and Crocs. Officials noted that the boy responds to the song "If You’re Happy and You Know It." Searchers are advised to sing the tune and clap to gain his attention.

Emergency management officials asked residents near Tadpole Road to stay alert. They requested that neighbors check yards, outbuildings, vehicles, and surrounding properties for the child. The agency began accepting search and rescue volunteers on Monday, November 2. Volunteers are instructed to report to the Richardson Missionary staging area on Highway 1690. The site is located directly across from the old Hinkle Store. The check-in time is 8:00 a.m.

Volunteers must check in with emergency personnel before starting any search work. This step ensures all activities are coordinated. IAN Alerts are issued in Kentucky when a child under 18 with autism or a mental illness goes missing and faces danger. Anyone with information about Heilman’s location should call 911 or Kentucky State Police Post 14 at 606-928-6421.
