Lamar Jackson practiced fully on Wednesday for the Baltimore Ravens. It is the first time he has done so since injuring his ankle. He has missed the last three games because of the injury.
The Ravens face the Buffalo Bills in Week 8. Jackson is listed as available for that game. Defensive lineman Calais Campbell took a veteran rest day and did not participate. Safety Kyle Hamilton, safety Jaylinn Hawkins, guard Olaivavega Ioane, and linebacker Roquan Smith all sat out due to knee issues. Left tackle Ronnie Stanley and guard John Simpson practiced in a limited fashion.
On the other side of the division, the Buffalo Bills had only one player out. Offensive tackle Spencer Brown missed Wednesday's session with a back issue. Cornerback Dee Alford, outside linebacker Bradley Chubb, tight end Dalton Kincaid, wide receiver DJ Moore, and defensive tackle Ed Oliver were all limited participants.
Kerby Joseph began his 21-day practice window on Wednesday for the Detroit Lions. He participated in a limited fashion. Joseph missed the final 11 games of the 2025 season with a degenerative knee condition. The Lions face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8.
The Lions have a long list of players who did not practice. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs, edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson, defensive tackle Alim McNeill, left tackle Penei Sewell, and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown were all absent. Defensive tackle Tyleik Williams and edge rusher DJ Wonnum also sat out.
Other teams reported mixed health statuses on Wednesday. The Carolina Panthers are missing Jaelan Phillips, Akayleb Evans, Damien Lewis, and Torricelli Simpkins for their game against Green Bay. The Green Bay Packers are without Zaire Franklin, Sean Rhyan, and Travis Glover. The New England Patriots have only four limited players, including wide receiver A.J. Brown and center Ben Brown.
The Philadelphia Eagles have six players who did not practice, including running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver Devonta Smith. The Indianapolis Colts held a walkthrough session, leaving their status estimates open. Cornerback Justin Walley and linebacker Bryce Boettcher were the only non-participants for Indianapolis.
