FDA recalls all Once Upon a Farm Tractor Wheels over choking risk
The agency warns the dry, sticky texture of the bars can block airways and resist standard first aid techniques.

Three reports of toddlers suffering complete airway obstruction prompted the Food and Drug Administration to issue a warning for Once Upon a Farm Tractor Wheels.
The company is voluntarily recalling all soft-baked bars, including every flavor, quantity, and variety. The recall covers all lot codes and expiration dates for the Apple, Sweet Potato, & Spinach; Strawberry, Pumpkin, & Beet; and Banana, Pumpkin & Cauliflower varieties.
The FDA stated that the bars form a dry, sticky mass when chewed. This consistency may prevent back blows and the Heimlich maneuver from dislodging the food. The agency noted that some incidents required emergency response intervention and hospital observation.
CEO John Foraker said the company is reformulating the bars to ensure they adhere to the highest standards. He stated that the mission is to drive systemic improvement in childhood nutrition by doing what is right for customers.
The bars are sold at major retailers across the United States, including Costco, Target, Walmart, and Amazon. The company advised customers not to open or consume the products. Shoppers should return items to the point of purchase for a full refund or email care@uponafarm.com.
No other Once Upon a Farm products are included in this recall.
