Laura Bozzo is alive, according to a statement from her personal assistant and driver, Aarón Guerrero, issued on Tuesday.
Guerrero posted on his Instagram account to refute reports that the Peruvian presenter and lawyer had died. He addressed the "circulation of false information" regarding her status. The message was shared by Bozzo's daughter, Alejandra de la Fuente.
"We categorically deny said information," Guerrero wrote in the post. He urged the public and media outlets to verify facts before sharing them. This step, he said, shows respect for the family and those involved in her care. Guerrero thanked followers for their solidarity but did not provide specific clinical details about Bozzo's current condition.
Alejandra Palomera, Bozzo's representative, confirmed the assistant's statement to People en Español. Palomera expressed frustration with the speculation surrounding the host. "I don't know why they do that," she said. The team is currently waiting for doctors to provide an update on her recovery. They plan to announce her improvement once medical professionals give the green light.
Colaborador Carlo Uriel, who works with journalist Flor Rubio, spoke with Bozzo's daughter on social media. Uriel noted that Alejandra de la Fuente described her mother's health as "very delicate." The family has asked for a chain of prayer for Bozzo's quick recovery.
Bozzo underwent surgery on October 13 for a ruptured gastric ulcer. She was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Mexico City. As of Tuesday, she remains hospitalized there.
Rumors of her death began circulating on the social network X on the afternoon of October 27. Actor Alfredo Adame posted an image on his Instagram profile stating "Laura Bozzo rests in peace." He later deleted the post after the misinformation spread.
The family's response came late on October 28 to clarify the situation. The statement emphasized the need for media responsibility during the host's ongoing treatment.
