Robert Plant will perform an exclusive concert at Trinity College in Dublin next summer. The show is scheduled for Tuesday, June 29, 2027, and forms part of the Trinity College Summer Series.
The date is the first announcement for the newly created Root & Branch tour. The itinerary includes stops in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Other venues on the bill are Hampton Court Palace Festival, Lincoln Castle, The Piece Hall in Halifax, and Scarborough's Open Air Theatre.
Plant fronts the group Saving Grace. The band includes vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown. The musicians first gathered in 2019 at Plant's home on the Welsh borderlands. They share a focus on blues, folk, gospel, country, and roots music.
The announcement follows the release of Saving Grace: All That Glitters last month. The four-track EP includes traditional songs such as The Blackest Crow and Two Coats. It also features Orphan Girl by Gillian Welch and Poison by Bert Jansch. The group's self-titled album, released in 2025, drew critical praise for mixing traditional and contemporary styles.
Plant recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association. He has also completed a recent run of dates in the United States.
Fans can buy tickets through pre-sale on November 4 and 5. General sale starts on Friday, November 6.
