Derek Kevra of Weather Authority reports that Metro Detroit experienced a slightly cooler Tuesday with afternoon highs near 62 degrees. The temperature remained above the seasonal average but dropped from the previous day's milder readings. Skies stayed partly to mostly cloudy throughout the afternoon.
Warmer conditions return quickly as the week progresses. Wednesday brings highs near 71 degrees, followed by a jump into the middle 70s on Thursday. This shift places the final days of October well above average temperatures for the region.
Thursday also marks the first opportunity for spotty showers in nearly two weeks. Southeast Michigan has endured a dry stretch, though Kevra notes the rain is unlikely to become widespread. Conditions dry out again by Friday as temperatures settle into the middle 60s ahead of the weekend.
The forecast for Halloween looks favorable for residents. Afternoon highs will reach near 65 degrees under dry skies. By the time children head out for trick-or-treating, temperatures should dip into the middle to upper 50s, providing comfortable conditions for walking the neighborhood.
Dry weather persists through much of the weekend. Another chance for showers arrives on Sunday, following a period of consistent dry conditions across the area.
